NAS (Network Attached Storage)

NAS.

NAS is a personal computer data storage server connected to a computer network that provides data access. A NAS system is a network device that contains one or more storage drives organized into logical storage bins or RAID. NAS systems are flexible and scalable, which means that if a user needs additional storage he or she can add it to their own devices. A NAS is like a personal cloud in the office with a large amount of storage for which data is managed.

Data is a very important asset for a company, without data the company cannot provide excellent service to customers. Poor customer service, data inaccuracies or team issues are examples of what can happen when information is not properly available.
NAS is a perfect system for a small company. The NAS is easy to operate without the use of a dedicated IT professional, thus cutting costs. It is the ease of backing up data that is the advantage of NAS so that it can be accessed whenever data is needed. NAS systems are also good at centralizing data storage in a secure and reliable way. This makes it easier for employees to collaborate, respond to customers in a timely manner, and immediately follow up on sales or other issues because the information is in one place. NAS also plays an important role as security data storage on CCTV, by using the NAS (Surveillance Station) feature.

For homes or small offices, 1-4 people usually use 2 docking bays and 4TB x 2pcs. Regular bigger office with 4 docking bays with 8TB x 4pcs. NAS offers an easier, scalable and cost-effective way to store and share files on a network. Although today more and more small and medium-sized businesses are using this solution simply for reasons of scalability, the convenience and functionality of a NAS can also benefit workgroups and large enterprises/enterprises.
